Georgian saber of the (Tiflis) master

An excellent example of a rare saber by a Georgian (Tiflis) master. The handle of the Turkish type is completely made of silver, the guard with extended ends is decorated with engraving with black and gold. The blade is steel (damask), of slight curvature without a dol. On the front side of the blade in figured cartouches there is an arabographic inscription: About the Judge of Needs: and : Did Asadulah: . The wooden scabbard is covered with leather and decorated with silver details engraved with black and gold. On the back of the mouth of the scabbard is an Arabic inscription: The owner is Musa, the son of Awad. The work of Hussein, the son of Mahmud in 1271 (1854/5).
